Lennon & Maisy – a sister duo with nearly 20 million YouTube views and recurring roles on the new hit ABC series “Nashville” – will perform their first-ever concert on Tuesday, October 23rd, at 9 PM ET. The pair will play a half-hour set in their own living room – and fans around the world can see it via Stageit (http://Stageit.com/), a web-based platform that enables artiststo easily create paid live shows directly from their laptops. The online performances streamed on Stageit are not archived, so it remains a truly unique experience for the virtual attendees.
Thirteen-year-old Lennon and eight-year-old Maisy have been doing YouTube videos for over two years, but the May 2012 post of the Stella sisters covering Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” brought them massive attention. The Huffington Post called their performance “simply amazing” and the girls have since appeared twice on “Good Morning America.” You can view Lennon & Maisy’s “Call Your Girlfriend” video at:
“What an incredible opportunity Stageit is for Lennon and Maisy,” notes Marylynne Stella, the girls’ mother. “With them being kids, touring is not an option. Stageit allows them to feel the thrill of an audience and the love of music from the comfort of their living room. It truly feels like it was designed for them personally!”
“We’re honored to have Lennon and Maisy perform their first ever concert on Stageit,” says Evan Lowenstein, CEO of Stageit. “Our audience is going to love them. I mean, how could you not?”
Headquartered in Los Angeles, Stageit is a web-based platform empowering artists to deliver and monetize unique online live concert-like performances anytime, anywhere while providing real-time social engagement with their fans. Stageit launched at SXSW in March 2011 and has since hosted a wide range of artists including Jason Mraz, Trey Songz, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Buffett, KORN, Sara Bareilles, Plain White T’s and many more.
