LEPROUS premieres first new song from upcoming album ‘Coal’

By on April 11, 2013

Acclaimed Norwegian prog metal band LEPROUS are getting ready to release their new album Coal on May 28th in North America and May 20 in Europe via InsideOut Music.

Coal was produced by Heidi Solberg Tveitan & Vegard Tveitan of MNEMOSYNE, and Jens Bogren & Tony Lindgren mixed and mastered the album at Fascination Street Studios (OPETH, SYMPHONY X, KREATOR).

In order to give fans a preview of this intriguing release, LEPROUS has now launched the first album track today via HeavyBlogIsHeavy.com. Click the link below to listen to “Chronic”:

LEPROUS singer / synth-player Einar Solberg comments about the song:
“We’re delighted to finally be able to give you the first taste of our upcoming album ‘Coal’! ‘Coal’ is a melancholic, soulful and very dynamic album. Where ‘Bilateral’ was playful and ‘in-your face’, ‘Coal’ is subtle and floating. ‘Chronic’ however, is of the more dynamic songs of the album. With a heavy basis, the song pinches a nerve LEPROUS has never before explored.”

LEPROUS will be performing at various prominent summer festivals – including Wacken, Hellfest, Tuska, and more – to promote the release of Coal, and the band is now also announcing headlining European shows from September to November 2013. See below for all confirmed dates:
