Before recording her latest album, no elephants, singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalists most notable musical out was a joint tour last year with Radiohead’s Philip Selway  playing intimate venues across Europe. Here’s one of many videos posted of their performances on

Philip and Lisa performed a one-off semi-acoustic set, each showcasing their new songs; Lisa from her 2009 release Magic Neighbor and Philip premiering material from his solo debut, Familial. This was the first time that either performed this work live. Joining them on stage was fellow 7 Worlds Collide performer and longtime Germano collaborator Sebastian Steinberg (Soul Coughing) on bass.

The pair met when they both contributed to Neil Finn’s 7 Worlds Collide project in New Zealand, first in 2003 and again in 2010, the product of which was the release of 2009’s Oxfam benefit album The Sun Came Out. Philip contributed “The Ties That Bind Us” and “The Witching Hour” to the collection and Germano wrote and sang lead on “Reptile” and added violin to a number of cuts on that album.

Selway is better known as drummer in the critically acclaimed British rock group Radiohead. However in 2009, he took advantage of a break in Radiohead’s schedule to record his own solo material. He sang and played acoustic guitar, enlisting the help fellow musicians from last year’s 7 Worlds Collide project; Lisa Germano, Sebastian Steinberg, Glenn Kotche and Patrick Sansone. Together they crafted an album of delicately woven textures.

Lisa’s upcoming 2013 release and 9th album, no elephants, was recorded by Jamie Camdiloro in Los Angeles, produced by Germano.
