Little Daylight Drops “Glitter & Gold” and Announces Debut EP “Tunnel Vision” Out 8/6

By on June 19, 2013

Brooklyn trio Little Daylight has unveiled their third track “Glitter & Gold” today via Popjustice. The bouncy synth-driven tune, destined to become this summer’s anthem, will reside on the band’s highly anticipated debut EP Tunnel Vision, which is set for release on August 6, 2013.

Little Daylight was born last summer when members Nikki, Matt, and Eric spent a month at an upstate lake house, sketching the ideas that would become their first singles.  A three-headed hydra at work, Little Daylight primed the world for their electro-pop aesthetic through a series of official remixes for the likes of Passion Pit, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Freelance Whales. A fully collaborative effort (doing everything themselves), the re-works paved the way for their own originals to do the heavy lifting, as the band slowly unveiled their full artistic vision as both producers and songwriters.

The first track “Overdose” threw the trio into the fast lane with its pounding drums and addictive chorus, yielding praise from bloggers and tastemakers alike who call the song “infectious” (Stereogum) and “[the] most perfect pop song you’ve ever heard” (MTV Buzzworthy). The group followed “Overdose”‘s success with an array of remixes and a well-received showing at this year’s SXSW, which ultimately helped the band secure tours with both Marina and the Diamonds and Charli XCX. The band will be playing a plethora of one-offs throughout the summer, including two shows with Bastille this July, please see the dates below.

In addition to “Glitter & Gold” and “Overdose,” Tunnel Vision contains the band’s second offering, “Name in Lights,” a downtempo affair soaked in reverb-coated drums and “Restart,” another high energy banger that has first time listeners singing along by mid-chorus. The track listing for Tunnel Vision is as follows:
