Today one of 2013’s most blogged about artists, Little Daylight, has released its debut EP Tunnel Vision. The latest track to hit, “Restart,” was unveiled early yesterday exclusively at Neon Gold Records’ Blog which commended the song’s “space age synths” and boasted that “[It] instantly reminds you of all the reasons you fell in love with the three-piece in the first place.” The intoxicating trio will do another round of dates with Charli XCX this September, in addition to playing on Bastille’s sold out tour.

Little Daylight, made up of Brooklyn residents: Nikki, Matt, and Eric, formed late last summer when the three friends spent a month at an upstate New York lake house sketching the ideas that would become their first singles. These singles that now reside on Tunnel Vision are: “Overdose,” “Name in Lights,” “Glitter and Gold,” the instrumental “Treelines,” and “Restart.” Before releasing their original tunes, Little Daylight primed the world for their electro-pop aesthetic through a series of official remixes for the likes of Passion Pit, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Ra Ra Riot, and more (Listen via Soundcloud).

The bands’ re-works paved the way for their own originals, which have each single-handedly climbed the charts of the hit churning Hype Machine, as well as garnering praise for the band by the likes of The Line of Best Fit, MTV Buzzworthy, PopJustice, and Perez Hilton. This summer Little Daylight has spent their time in a converted Brooklyn carriage house where they are actively writing and recording their debut full-length. Be sure to catch the band on the road this fall as they bring their pulsating live show to both coasts, all tour dates are below.

Take notice of Little Daylight, as this is a band “primed to become heavy-hitters in the alt-pop scene” (Stereogum).

  PRAISE FOR LITTLE DAYLIGHT

“’Overdose’ may be the most perfect pop song you’ve ever heard.” – MTV Buzzworthy

“Name In Lights’ picks up where their skyscraping, Hypem-toppling debut left off with its pristine synth riffs, sensuous beats and simmering bass bursts adding credence to their burgeoning rep as catnip for A+R guys the world over.” – The Line of Best Fit

“We were big fans of Little Daylight’s earlier tracks – slinky ‘Name In Lights’, thumpy ‘Overdose’ – but ‘Glitter & Gold’ is the one that’s sent us properly mental.” – PopJustice

“The band insists on crafting one pop gem after another. Every song in their set follows a loose template to maximize their own unique pop sensibility.” – The Washington Times
