LO-PAN ANNOUNCE RELEASE OF NEW ALBUM “SALVADOR”MAY 24th ON SMALL STONE RECORDS

Columbus, Ohio based unit Lo-Pan has announced the release of  their third full-length record, “Salvador” on May 24th.  The album is their second release withSmall Stone Records (Acid King, Roadsaw) who released a re-mixed and re-mastered version of the band’s second album “Sasquanaut” earlier this year. Born out of a combination of cosmic, fuzzed out rock and roll, stale beer and an unhealthy obsession with “Big Trouble In Little China“,Lo-Pan has been touring incessantly with a back-line that could shake even the most hardcore sound men. “We’re loud. REALLY fucking loud”, says Jesse Bartz, Lo-Pan’s heavy footed, even heavier handed drummer. The band is concocted of “gearhounds and tone snobs” who exclusively use vintage gear and boutique pedals. Lo-Pan’s “live or die by touring” mentality has molded them into one of the best rock bands around (shunning the terms stoner and metal, though followers of such genres undeniably embrace them).

Salvador” named for the band’s equipment dolly (which adorns the album cover) is eleven tracks of white hot rock and roll fury played like the boys were fighting for their immortal souls.  Leading off with opening track and single “El Dorado” (lyrics inspired by the Edgar Alan Poe poem by the same name) the thunderous low ends and pummeling drums continue to beat your ears into submission. Battling it out front and center is the eternal dual between killer riffs and those soaring vocals.

Forged in 2005, Lo-Pan have been tearing up the club circuit with such artists asTorcheThe SwordSavioursRed FangSalome & the Atomic Bitchwax(just to name a few).  The band will take the road again this spring and summer with national dates snaking through the country, more info at:http://www.smallstone.com/artistinfo.php?artist=61&s=lopan
