Los Angeles art-rockers Irontom announce Spring tour with AWOLNATION and Family of the Year

By on May 11, 2015

rs IRONTOM will embark on a spring tour with Awolnation and Family of the Year. Craveonline.com raves that “with a buoyancy and sharp energy befitting British pop-rockers, IRONTOM have a similar sense of ecstatic energy to what Arctic Monkeys possessed early in their careers.” In the recent Guitar World premiere of their cover of the Gorillaz hit “Feel Good Inc.,” IRONTOM front-man Harry Hayes summarized his views on the band’s off-kilter approach: “We feel like we’re progressing all the time. We’re genuinely not worried about fitting in.” More information on IRONTOM is available on the band’s official website.

According to the recent Rolling Stone premiere of the music video for their single “The Minista,” Irontom’s approach to creating visuals is in sync with their sonic willingness to be “heavily inspired by the art of Salvador Dalí and Magritte.” The band features Hayes (lead vocals), Zach Irons (guitar), Dane Sandborg (bass), Dan Saslow (keys) and Dyl Williams (drums).

IRONTOM’s music is something you passionately wear on your sleeve –  not dispassionately slip into your back pocket for a convenient conversation piece. The five-piece are considered a perfect fit for cool, artsy, culture-forward tastemakers. According to Charlie Sheen, who makes a cameo in the “Minista” video, IRONTOM are “like Led Zeppelin and the Beatles had a baby, and it was raised by wolves.”

Touring with Awolnation, whose hit “Sail” has sold more than 5.5 million copies in the U.S., will allow IRONTOM to appeal to a wider and younger audience who should appreciate IRONTOM’s theatrical style, incredible musicianship, and captivating stage presence. Family of the Year, known for their mega hit “Hero” from the Boyhood soundtrack, will join IRONTOM and Awolnation on the 12-date springtime tour.
