Low Cut Connie Releases Video for “Boozophilia” from their Acclaimed Debut, ‘Call Me Sylvia’

By on October 17, 2012

Amidst the various musical offerings this fall, one little rock n roll diamond is shining through all the schmutz. Low Cut Connie’s sophomore disc, Call Me Sylvia, has been getting rave review from all the smartest and sexiest critics. Besides rave reviews in everything from Rolling Stone to the New York Times to NPR, Jack White personally selected the band to perform at the grand reopening of Third Man Records, opening for the Shins and recording a live session. Legendary critic Dave Marsh calls the band: “The most important American band to come along in years.” Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards called the band: “Nasty, gritty, good ol’ rock and roll and no hipster knows what to do with it.” Robert Christgau, the infamous Dean of American Rock Critics, calls the album “[Their] most twisted fable of the down-and-dirty life to date…they’ve added muscle to their sound.”

In celebration of all their recent titillating acclaim, the band wants to offer you a brand new video, “Boozophilia”, shot on location in Philadelphia PA. Enjoy and help spread the word about this very special and sensual band.
