Lucy Michelle & The Velvet Lapelles Announce SXSW Shows And East Coast Tour Dates This March

Minneapolis gypsy-rock band Lucy Michelle & The Velvet Lapelles are excited to announce their upcoming tour dates this March, including two shows they will be performing at SXSW this year. The band will be playing the First Avenue/89.3 The Current showcase at Holy Mountain on March 15 and the Doritos Bold Stage on March 16 when the music world descends upon Austin, TX, for the annual music festival. The band will follow their SXSW appearances with a string of dates along the east coast, capping off the month with a show at the Mercury Lounge in New York on March 24. Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles are steamrolling ahead on the heels of the success of their 2012 release, HEAT, which was named “one of the breakout records of the year” by national tastermaker 89.3 The Current. The band’s latest Daytrotter session was named one of Daytrotter’s Best of 2012, songs from HEAT have recently appeared on MTV and ads for Target and Apple. Music videos for “Just A Kid”, “Undone” and “Million Things” debuted on MTV and have received in excess of 60,000 views on their VEVO channel.
