Canadian singer/songwriter Mandolyn Mae, has released her new full-length album, Once, via Easy Killer Records, yesterday, June 25th, 2013. The album is now available on iTunes, here:   You can also check out a full stream of Once on MSN Music, here:

The first track off the album, “Hurricane” premiered exclusively on Artist Direct, here while the second track, “The Only Person Alive” premiered with Guitar World here. With taste beyond her years, and a live approach that includes a heavy does of ukulele playing, Mandolyn has quickly developed a style and sound that listeners are finding infectious.

Mandolyn Mae’s catalogue of previously released material includes her EP, Thief, containing 7 original songs, as well as her EP, Cover 2 Cover, which included songs by Underoath, MATSOD, Further Seems Forever, Of Mice And Men, and Dead Poetic. The single for the cover of “Second And Sebring” was intriguing enough to cause Of Mice And Men to post it on their own Facebook page, receiving over 2,300 likes in the first day. You can check out the exclusive premiere of Mandolyn’s cover of “Second And Sebring” here:

With the changing styles of music happening so rapidly these days, the 19-year-old artist tells us if she concerns herself with what’s hot in the scene. “Oh gosh no. I can’t sing loud, and I’m the furthest thing from edgy. I like to wear pink dresses for example. But there are real music lovers in this scene; these fans find room on their playlists for Civil Wars, Lights, and Mat Kearney, right along beside Issues, Pierce The Veil, and Terror. If they can find room for me on those playlists too, that would make me ecstatic,” Mandolyn shares.

Mandolyn Mae is set to perform this year on the 2013 Vans Warped Tour in July. Her previous tours have included performing alongside bands as diverse as Rookie Of The Year, Trees Above Mandalay, Alive In Standby, Sparks The Rescue, and label mate, Tidewater. She has also performed at South By Southwest as part of the Acoustic Basement Tour sponsored by Vans Warped Tour.
