A chance meeting between Luke Maton and Liron Tru at a gig a few years back, resulted in the birth of electronic duo LIR. The first offering from the pair, Chasing, is a beautifully honest debut which was written and produced on the road between Melbourne’s Port and Jaffa’s Port, Tel Aviv.

Chasing was written in a moment where I felt everything and nothing at the same time. Where leaving and being left out is the same, like chasing and being chased is the same“, says Liron of the new single.

With softly feathered melodies contrasting strong, peppered drumming throughout, the wonderfully glitchy, down-tempo track is unpretentious and unassuming in its percieved simplicity. However, as with most seemingly simple songs, there is an immense talent at play.

Support LIR by rating and reviewing Chasing on Triple J Unearthed, or buying it on Bandcamp.

LIR are planning to release an EP in late 2015, stay tuned!
