The Denver based MTHDS just dropped their fourth studio release, Pretty Deep, for public consumption. A dynamic  9-track foray into hip-hop, rock n’ roll, indie music and even a nod to punk, the album captures the quintessential Colorado vibe right from the opening track. Also featuring guest sit in appearances with Chali 2na (Ozomatli, Jurassic 5) and OneBeLo (Binary Star), the album marks a capacious end to a big year for the six piece band.
Taking a multi-genre approach, the band swiftly moves between hip-hop, funk, rock n’ roll and even a touch of southern California style punk to keep people on their feet.Featuring nine original tracks, the Denver based MTHDS Pretty Deep boasts several collaborative tracks including Influences with Chali 2na  and Trade with OneBeLo.  Kicking off with the high energy Influences, the band sheds light on all of the music that has helped them form their unique style and approach. Also, featuring Chali 2Na, the track is smooth and robust, with the kind of lyrics you wish you could keep up with. (Download Influences HERE)

The tracks following Influences showcase the bands multi-faceted sound; Drive harkens back to an indie-punk song of the 90’s while Ooh La La’s sexy vocals and power guitar impart a much more playful carefree vibe.  Y Bailando?  The listener is transported to the back streets of fiesta night in Bogota through a sarcastic string of Spanglish and Santana-esq shreds.  No matter where your personal tastes in music lie and what genres you cling to most closely, Pretty Deep undoubtedly will provide you with whatever you need to start the party.
Not so new to the touring scene, the project has hit the road with the The Expendables, Chali 2na and Macklemore as well as performances at the coveted SXSW music showcase.  Now, armed with a smokin’ hot new release, plans are in the works for a large tour late next spring.
