Governors Ball Agrees to Donate a Portion of Ticket Sale Proceeds to Non-Profit Music Unites
New York, NY (June 8, 2011)– Music Unites, a New York based 501(c)3 non-profit, dedicated to bringing music education to underprivileged children in underfunded inner city school systems, is excited to partner with Governors Ball for their 2011 festival. The all day music fest will take place on Saturday, June 18 2011 on Governors Island in NYC and will feature performances by Empire of the Sun, Big Boi (of Outkast), Passion Pit (DJ Set), Pretty Girl and much more.

 

The Governors Ball wholeheartedly supports the goals and mission of Music Unites and is urging individuals to do the same. When one purchases an online pass to the Festival, there will be an option to donate an additional amount to Music Unites. For those who have already purchased Festival tickets, they can enter into a very special Music Unites raffle to win some very special prizes, including:
