While the boys of Vela Ceras are eager to be heading back into their Orlando-based studio later this month, they are also excited to announce the release of a lyric video for “When We Fold,” the hit off their debut EP, When We Fold, released last year. The Nashville based band paired with Front Row Live Entertainment to exclusively unveil the lyric video. Check out the lyric video here: http://bit.ly/10qxgUw
Andrew Selkow of Vela Ceras had this to say about the track:
“Writing this track was a lot of fun. I remember sitting in the old band room back in Florida with the guys, really feeling like we were doing something right, something we enjoyed doing. It’s one of the more thick, progressive songs off the record, and one of the first times we really got to incorporate organ and synthesizers, so we still love playing this song all the time.”
When We Fold, released in December 2012, was originally supposed to be a full-length but a move to Tennessee led to the band cutting it short and using their six best songs for an EP instead. One of those songs was “Mind Is A Drought” which was recorded with Brooks Paschal at Mockingbird Studios. The track turned out so well that the band decided to record the remainder of the EP with Paschal as well.
With an unparalleled drive and an enthusiasm to perform and entertain, Vela Ceras has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. The band has already scheduled the release of their upcoming single, “Losing Touch,” in which they continue perfecting the art of intertwining indie rock elements with hints of funk and psychedelic moods.
As the band continues writing and enters the studio with now longtime producer, Brooks Pashcal they are expected to continue leaving their mark on the music industry. Their unique sound and undoubtable passion for all things music, makes Vela Ceras a band to be on the lookout for.
