Check out documentary-style video, capturing Octaves in their natural state (aka on tour), now on AltPress.com.  This video, shot and edited by Octaves bass player Tony Savero along with George Foskaris (drummer of Caravels), features tons of live performance and candid footage of the band on the road last March along with a new song “Premature Congratulations”.  This song and video were released in anticipation of Octaves’ forthcoming new album Which Way The Wind Blows which will be available from Bridge Nine on April 16th.

Guitarist Wes Young commented, “Being our first time at SXSW it was really almost surreal. We saw a lot of old friends and made some great new ones as well as experienced Austin, which has, honestly, one of the most endearing personalities a city can have for a band like us. It was a good way to kick off our year which is looking to be one of our best. We can only thank our friends, our families, the bands we play with and all the great people at Bridge Nine for it being so.”

With their new full-length release just on the horizon, Octaves are gearing up for a full U.S. tour in support of it this April and May.  On April 20th, the band will play a hometown show just after album release that’ll kick off a month-long string of shows taking them westward and then back.  Check out the full list of tour dates below.

Octaves were just named one of Alternative Press Magazine’s 100 Bands You Need to Know and their new album, Which Way the Wind Blows, was called “…one of 2013’s most interesting records” by Absolutepunk.net.  Check out the song “Premature Congratulations” here and stay tuned for more information on Octaves’ new album coming soon.
