PAPER DIAMOND ANNOUNCES NEW TIGER STYLE TOUR
WITH SPECIAL GUEST MINNESOTA ON SELECT DATES
“With his one of a kind iPad interface, Alex is able to spanthe lengths of his career to mix, perform, and share every song in his arsenal based on what the crowd is looking to hear and what they vibe to… The connection that the crowd had with the him was something that isn’t felt by many others.”

– Sound Fuse Magazine

Following this fall’s single release of “Can We Go Up,” the tune that got stuck in everyone’s head and dominated the Hype Machine Charts at #1, Paper Diamond (Pretty Lights Music / Elm & Oak) has been taking on 2012 with some new tunes both original and remixes as he takes his celebrated live show on the road.
Forward is not just a direction, it’s a way of life for Colorado based producer Alex B who is rolling out big tunes under the guise of Paper Diamond and who is gearing up for his new EP release in the upcoming months along with continuing tour dates. And while this maestro is not beat making he acts as head of Elm and Oak, which functions as a record label, design shop, and clothing line. The Paper Diamond sound has raw energy and the kind of dramatic anticipation only a seasoned producer can incite.
Most recently, Paper Diamond took on The Weeknd’s “Same Old Song,” to rave reviews from the blogosphere. You can download the remix (cleared for posting) HERE.
“Although the two versions of ‘Same Old Song’ still have a lot in common, this dubby remix is far more stimulant driven. Tesfaye’s emotive singing is interestingly contrasted against the song’s gripping bass, which should, if anything, make this version more accessible than its predecessor.”
– Prefix Magazine
“…with finely cut bass that rolls over those signature Weeknd vocals. Wasn’t all that much of a fan of the original, but Paper Diamond throws in that mind-numbing bass that gets me every.damn.time.”
– Silence No Good
So kick back and enjoy the fusion of two of electro hip hop’s hottest emerging artists in the Paper Diamond remix of “Same Old Song”.
– The Music Ninja
“He took ‘Same Old Song’, the mellowed out down tempo track and pumped it full of his feel good electronic energy. He’s got that funky Colorado sound that really gets across in every track.
– This Song Is Sick
“Paper Diamond does a great job building a laid back, bass-heavy dubstep-inspired remix. Beautiful, without a doubt, and worth a download.”
– The Kollection

“This song is a perfect remix for what The Weeknd needs on his songs. It is not too uptempo and still keeps a somewhat relaxed vibe to this track, while adding a great electro sound to the chorus and some quality synths and bass in the verses.”
– Fresh New Tracks

Paper Diamond is also continuing his progression across the great expanse of America, taking his beats through winter and into Spring. What’s especially been turning heads is the fact that he uses an iPad during his performance.
Paper Diamond will be stopping by Memphis, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, and Denver, as well as many others in between.

Paper Diamond has been consistently touring during the winter with his musical cohorts from both Pretty Lights Music and Elm and Oak. Through the winter leg, Paper Diamond is joined by Paul Basic (Pretty Lights Music) and SuperVision (Pretty Lights Music) February 4 – February 11.
