The legendary Harry Wayne Casey (KC) of KC & the Sunshine Band joins Paula Deen on Paula’s Best Dishes, on The Food Network on Saturday, April 6 at 9:30 am ET / 8:30 CT.  The duo talk about music, cooking and put a healthy spin on some roadside favorites during the show titled “Fritters with that Shake?” First on the menu is a Grilled Portobello Mushroom Burger with Dill Mustard sauce.  Paula shares some favorites when she makes Fresh Corn Fritters and Mama’s Acorn Squash. Finally, KC and Paula are a match made in kitchen heaven when they whip up “KC’s Shake Shake” to go along with Paula’s Cinnamon Scented Pound Cake.
“I had a great time doing the show.  We share great Georgia ties – sort of like being at home with one of my relatives or in my aunt’s kitchen.  I really enjoyed and loved the experience, and the food was great!  It felt like family.  I was a little nervous & not sure what to do or expect.  Keeping my ingredients & story straight sure was a test of my coordination,” said KC about the experience.
