GRAMATIK & BREAK SCIENCE

WITH PAUL BASIC

CHECK OUT GRAMATIK & BREAK SCIENCE LIVE AT GEORGIA THEATRE

Gramatik and Break Science, both on Pretty Lights Music, are embarking on their PLM Spring Tour this March and April, and it’s going to be one for the books. With a tour that spans the vast Untied States, Gramatik and Break Science will be hitting Tampa, Charleston, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Nashville, will many others in between.
Gramatik and Break Science recently released a co-produced track called “Boogie Down,”
which is a new, bass-heavy take on the original Earth, Wind & Fire track. You can download the free track HERE. Check out the official music video HERE.
Break Science just released their EP Monolith Code on PLM, and you can download the entire release for free HERE. As seasoned producers and touring veterans, Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee have produced and performed with everyone from The Fugees, Wu Tang Clan, and Talib Kweli, to reggae Lee Scratch Perry and Miles Davis collaborator, John Scofield. On Monolith Code, Break Science evoke a wide spectrum of electronic genres filtered through a musician’s lens, all while moving people, both spiritually and on the dance floor.
Gramatik will be releasing his new record in March, just in time for the tour’s kick-off! Gramatik’s roots are in Hip-Hop, but after a while he felt this just wasn’t enough, and that he was limiting himself by only creating in one genre while he enjoyed listening to so many. He therefore started produce House, Techno, Breakbeat, Electro, Drum’n’Bass – basically any genre that he found himself drawn to. This was pretty much anything that evolved from Blues, Jazz, Soul and Funk, as those ‘’father genres’’ are all embedded deep in his style. To him, music is much bigger than a genre name and specific categorization, it’s all about embracing what moves you and rejecting what does not.

Break Science and Gramatik are available for interviews, in-stores or in-studio performances. They are also happy to do Meet & Greets before or after shows.
