Today, IFC.com launches the exclusive premiere of Manchester Orchestra’s cinematic new video for their single “Simple Math.”  The video is available now via the image and link below.  The video is directed by Daniels, aka Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the duo behind the Hundred in the Hands “Pigeon” music video and mostly recently the viral video, “Dogboarding.”

“Simple Math” is the first single off Manchester Orchestra’s much anticipated third album of the same name and the follow up to the band’s acclaimed sophomore album, Mean Everything to Nothing.  Much like the album itself, the “Simple Math” video is told through the eyes of frontman Andy Hull, as he questions everything around him and braces himself for a constantly changing reality.
Simple Math will be released on May 10th through Favorite Gentlemen / Columbia Records.  When asked to describe the record, Andy Hull explains that “lyrically and sonically, this is everything we’ve wanted to do in an album.” The band has already shared “Simple Math” and “April Fool” with fans via SoundCloud as they gear up to hit the road.

Can’t wait until May 10th for new Manchester Orchestra music?  This Record Store Day (April 16), celebrate with the exclusive “Simple Math” 7″ vinyl which features a cover of Built To Spill’s “The Plan.”  Visit your favorite local record store on April 16th to pick up your copy and click HERE to find a store near you.
