The 12th Annual SF Sketchfest is coming up January 24 – February 10 in 26 venues across San Francisco.  In addition to the many comedy events featuring ace comedians and up-and-coming acts, TV reunions, film screenings (with special celebrity guests!), live podcasts, panel discussions, workshops and very special tributes, SF Sketchfest 2013 features outstanding music performances you’ll not see anywhere else.


Among the one-of-a-kind musical performances at SF Sketchfest 2013 you’ll find REGGIE WATTS returning for “Reggidency 2,” a three-night run of performances with special guest collaborators including Grammy-nominated jazz/hip-hop pianist ROBERT GLASPER, MAYA RUDOLPH and GRETCHEN LIEBERUM as “Princess” performing music by Prince, comedy/folk duo GARFUNKEL & OATES, comedy rapper DRAGON BOY SUEDE, YACHT ROCK HEROES with MUSTACHE HARBOR + very special guests, and w00tstock Founders’ Nights with music-comedy duo PAUL AND STORM. 


Alt-rock legend BOB MOULD (Sugar, Hüsker Dü) joins Jon Glaser’s Delocated Witness Protection Program Variety Show, JOHN DARNIELLE (The Mountain Goats) is musical guest and “expert witness” for Judge John Hodgman, TED LEO is featured musical guest on How Was Your Week with Julie Klausner, while local favorite JOHN VANDERSLICE is the house band for STELLA.  Additional musical guests include JOHN RODERICK (The Long Winters), JONATHAN COULTON, CARRIE BROWNSTEIN (Portlandia), MARK MULCAHY (Polaris), BOOTS RILEY (The Coup) and singing tour-de-force BRIDGET EVERETT.

SF Sketchfest, co-founded and directed by David Owen, Cole Stratton and Janet Varney, produces the eclectic San Francisco Comedy Festival, an internationally-recognized and critically-acclaimed event that mixes major comedy stars and the best up-and-coming comedians from around the world for three weeks of sketch, improv, stand-up, alternative comedy, films, tributes and panel discussions.
