The band – consisting of vocalist/guitarist Ed Starcher, guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Andy Cook, bassist/vocalist Connor Johnson and drummer Joey Regets – has now issued a total of five studio update videos, which can all be watched in succession via this playlist on its YouTube page. Soon, the group will release a full album teaser video including clips of new songs to get fans more excited about the upcoming material.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the progress that we’ve gained in these past few days of recording,” says Regets. “We’re currently tracking vocals, have a few more additional drum and keyboard parts to record, and then we’ll begin the mixing stage for the songs. New music is coming your way very, very soon.”
Reverse The Curse’s second full-length album will be the follow-up to the critically respected Hither & Yon. Alternative Press editor Scott Heisel wrote that the band decidedly turned away from the popular trends in indie-rock, creating a new sound, experimenting with new techniques, and ultimately pulling them off remarkably, as “…the band’s most unexpected tones and turns feel the most accomplished and gripping … Reverse The Curse are taking a popularized punk sound they’d already honed well and breaking it apart for something new and exciting. If that’s the new trend, they’ve effortlessly spearheaded it.”
