Watch the video for “Comfort Zone” as we revisit The Comfort Zone with Baltimore artist, K-JiL.  The single, featuring Von Stacks, was K-JiL’s first, off his LP “Comfort Zone: Season 1.” The LP was released in April of 2012 and as the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY approaches, K-JiL will be re-releasing a re-mixed and re-mastered version with bonus tracks this year.

Inspired by Rod Serling’s “The Twilight Zone,” “The Comfort Zone” is an 8-track LP from the “lead underdog,” K-JiL.  Utilizing his storytelling abilities through his lyrics, K-JiL puts listeners into another zone.  Fusing the elements of Hip Hop and Alternative Rock, many of have come to describe his music as “Hip Rock.”

As the first single off the LP, rewind and watch the video to “Comfort Zone.” The video features head producer of the LP, Carl “CD” Dennis of The MC Media Group

Brief Artist Bio:

“You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension – a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.”

This famous quote from the original 1960’s Twilight Zone television series is the perfect introduction to up and coming hip hop artist K-JiL (aka Kevin Jenkins). Born in Baltimore, Maryland and now residing in Queens, K-JiL has been creating a persona for himself in New York City as “the lead underdog”. He blends elements of hip-hop, rock, pop, and even some classical components. He brings his imagination into his music to take listeners for a ride. With his 50’s image and high-energy stage presence, K-JiL breaks the boundaries of what a rapper should sound and look like. “I wanna do what I want with my music”, says the lead underdog.
