Band Premiers New Music Video For “Help Is On The Way”
Rise Against’s newest album, Endgame, has debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart with 85,031 records sold in the album’s opening week. According to Billboard, “It easily marks the act’s best sales week and chart high. It surpasses its previous record frame, when its last set, 2008’s “Appeal to Reason,” debuted and peaked at No. 3 off a 65,000 start.” The album was released last week via DGC/Interscope records. Endgame has received praise from the media, including Rolling Stone, who noted in their review “Rise Against’s mastery of anthemic punk rock is second only to their mastery of being pissed off.” You can purchase Endgame at a variety of retailers, including fromiTunes.
The band also premiered their newest music video for first single “Help Is On The Way” yesterday on their website, http://www.riseagainst.com/. The single and video explore the devastation that fell upon New Orleans after Katrina and last year’s tragic BP oil disaster. Lead-singer Tim McIlrath was inspired to write the song after spending time in the city while the band was on break from touring.

McIlrath recently revealed his thoughts and inspiration to SPIN.com. “I was down in those wetlands…talking about how important they were and the damage that was being inflicted on them,” says McIlrath. “And this was right before the oil spill! I could almost visualize a tear coming out of that guy’s eye, like, ‘Are you kidding me? Kicking us while we’re down?'”

Rise Against will also headline a U.S. tour with special guests Bad Religion and Four Year Strong starting April 5th in Las Vegas.
