With less than two weeks until the first date of their first U.S. headlining tour, Portland, Oregon’s rock and roll darlings, The CRY!, teamed up with New Noise Magazine to release the music video for their song “Shakin'”, from their full-length album, Dangerous Game (U.S. edition), through the band’s imprint Top Shelf, distributed by Von Artists.

“It’s straight-up rock and roll, now isn’t it?” asks The CRY! guitarist and vocalist Ray Nelsen when describing the song to New Noise Magazine. “This song is about keeping true to the spirit of rock and roll and being young. That’s all. No bullshit hipster pretense or deeper meaning. Just fun, fun, fun shit.”

Fun is ultimately what fans will have when they attend one of The CRY!’s shows on their The Dangerous Game Summer ’15 Tour route. The tour begins on Tuesday, August 4, at Hotel Utah in San Francisco, CA, continues through major markets across North America, and comes to a close on Saturday, September 19, at The Toad in Denver, CO. The CRY! features founding members Ray Nelsen (guitar, vocals) and Brian Crace (lead guitar, vocals), and fellow band members Michael “Corsh” Cortichiato (bass, background vocals), Joey Brewley (drums), and Victor Franco (keys, guitar, vocals). They are known for their eccentric live set, so if you haven’t caught the group live, this is the best chance to witness them up-close and personal. With influences like The Boys, The Ramones, and The Rolling Stones, the band has re-crafted the 2-minute pop song for a new generation. The CRY! effortlessly merges 50’s-style vocal harmonies, the jangle of 60’s pop hooks, and the glam-rock attitude of the 70’s with the raw emotion of Portland’s street culture from which they emerged. They’re known for their catchy songs, and their performances are full of life and energy; capturing the feel of their show is a vibrant experience. They’ve performed with the Strypes, Paul Collins, and Walter Lure and the Waldos, and can’t wait to finally get on the road and shake it up on their home soil.
