Rollins Band 1988 Tour Program Limited Live 7″ Found in the Vault!

By on January 14, 2012

In 1987, we went to Europe for the first time. At band practice, I came up with the idea for a program of all of the 1987 shows, band photos and a single. I held onto the idea as the year went on and in 1988, I laid out the galleys, got the single pressed up and we folded and collated it all into plastic bags and took them on the road.

My memory is that we made 1000 of these but it could have been less. We sold through them between mail order and live shows. I had a few for myself and that was it. A few years ago, an old tour manager called and said she had found a box of old merch at her house. She brought it to the show that evening. I opened it up, it was like a time capsule. There were several copies of this tour program and single as well as copies of the limited chapbook Works. I put of a few of these aside for myself and the rest, I have signed up and putting them up on the site.

The single is from a live show in Holland, some of the tracks from that show were on early versions of the Do It CD. These two songs, 1000 Times Blind and Richard Berry’s Crazy Lover have not been released outside of this single. I signed and numbered the front and signed the A-side of the single as well.
