Sacramento, CA female-fronted symphonic death metal band SERPENT & SERAPH recently released the brand new music video for their new single ‘Tears of Niviane’, directed and edited by Mike Sloat, also known for his work on music videos from Testament, Machine Head and more. Released less than two weeks ago, this unsigned group has already collected an impressive 11,000+ views on the video. Check out the single/video now at this link, featuring shredding guitar work from guitarist Claudeous Creamer (Dragonlord), intricate keyboards from Brian McCarver, and a wide diversity of vocal styles from vocalist KAS StClare.
“Videographer and producer Mike Sloat of ‘Roaring Mouse Productions’ was simply brilliant in bringing our concept for ‘Tears of Niviane’ to life,” states SERPENT & SERAPH vocalist KAS StClare. “His creativity really gave it that extra flare that it needed.”
The track ‘Tears of Niviane’ is cut from SERPENT & SERAPH’s upcoming full length release, Under Darkened Skies, set to drop this fall. Under Darkened Skies is produced by Juan Urteaga at Trident Studios and aptly presents the band’s unique brand of technically-influenced death metal with a classic power metal twist.
Under Darkened Skies is SERPENT & SERAPH’s second release, following their 2011 EP, In The Wake. SERPENT & SERAPH began their musical journey in 2009, when Claudeous Creamer of Dragonlord (guitar) teamed up with KAS StClare (vocals) with a goal to exploit genres with no limitations. Soon joined by the excellent musicianship of Matt Chaco (bass) and Joe Lopresti (drums & percussion), their goals began to emerge. The line-up was still missing an element until Brian McCarver introduced his unique and incredible keyboard playing to the band in 2010.
SERPENT & SERAPH is:
Claudeous Creamer – Guitars (currently in Dragonlord w/ Testament’s Eric Peterson)
Kas Stclare – Vocals
Brian McCarver – keyboards
Matt Chaco – Bass
Joseph Lopresti – Drums
