Listen: Seaway – “Too Fast For Love”

The record can be preordered now in the Mutant League Records webstore. Additionally, Seaway will be hitting the road with long-time friends Bellwether this fall. The 10-date Canadian tour routing can be seen below, along with the album art and tracklist from Hoser.

“Too Fast For Love” offers up a great example of what Seaway brings to the table. Vocalist Ryan Locke meshes with guitarist / backup vocalist Patrick Carleton to create a raw, fresh approach to the edgier side of pop-punk. Ultimately, the sound strikes as similar to Four Year Strong, Set Your Goals and The Wonder Years’ earlier records.

Carleton offered the following take on the band’s new song: “It’s about focusing on yourself and staying young while doing so. Relationships are great, but so are one night stands.”

Drummer Ken Taylor added the following statement on Hoser as an entity: “Hoser is good mix of all the things we wanted to accomplish with this band from the start. In a time where there is a lot of focus on what is “cool” or popular these days, we tried to shy away from changing our sound too drastically. With that being said, we weren’t afraid to push the limits of our own sound, adding stronger elements of pop and rock that help to diversify our sound and also to hopefully draw in new listeners. Hoser is how we envisioned Seaway from the start, and the lyrics and music reflect that. In the end we’re just a bunch of fucking hosers.”
