As previously announced NYC’s SKATERS will tour with British rock band Palma Violets this fall. Tour dates have been retooled and are reflected below.

SKATERS, fresh from their performance at this year’s Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago have just embarked on an extensive tour of Europe where the band has been warmly embraced by the press:

“We present to you SKATERS – the best band to emerge from Manhattan since…great writing and an incessantly creative arrangement. Gloriously inventive grooves, wonderfully nonchalant vocal and constantly engaging composition. Skaters have got that vintage lo-fi pop sound down to a tee so what are you waiting for?” – ThisFeeling.Com (UK)

“Like the Beach Boys, who famously didn’t surf (Dennis Wilson excepted), SKATERS don’t skate… [songs] reeking of subways and steam hissing from backstreet vents with a clattering urgency . It’s the end of the world as we know it … and SKATERS feel fine.”   — The Guardian (UK daily)

“This ain’t no cut and paste indie/pop record label creation. No, no, no….you know they’ve got to be good….and indeed they are an eclectic mix of gritty and reverberated guitars, unusual percussion, pleasantly lax vocals and an incessantly catchy anthems…that’s all part of the charm.” – TheHotBox.Com (UK)
