*DAN IRWIN & ALISTAIR LINDSAY COME UP TRUMPS WITH THEIR NEW HOUSE/GARAGE/VOCAL/GUITAR/SUB BASS MASH UP – SPACEBATS *

Vocals and sub-bass, guitars and synths, house and garage. It’s not often you hear all that lot together in one sentence, let alone on one track, but that’s what the Spacebats deliver on these two slamming songs.

Spacebats, aka Dan Irwin & Alistair Lindsay, have DJed all over from 93 Feet East to Space Ibiza, co-compiled albums with the likes of Pete Tong and DJ EZ and created the soundtracks to blockbuster video games such as Jet Force Gemini and Wallace & Grommit.

This diverse and varied musical background goes some way to explaining the Spacebat’s enchanting mix of styles. From deep house thump to pop tinged soul, old school bass to upfront melody.

‘Starlight’ takes a nod from Bristol bass, a wink from a 70’s soul lounge and a hop, skip and jump from the 2 step dancefloors of UK garage.

‘So Good Tonight’ flies the flag for the real house sound, mixing filtered guitars with layered vocals and a breakdown to soften even the hardest of hearts.

Look out for a forthcoming Spacebats release on EP Digital Music ‘Light My Flame’ with remixes from Beckers (of Dnox & Beckers fame) and Tony Thomas.
