By on December 24, 2012

Our second round of picks comes from a couple of our lovely Suicide Girls, Corgan and Aisline. Our last batch will be coming at you tomorrow!

Corgan Suicide

Best of 2012:

Smashing Pumpkins – Oceania

Although I’m a fan of all their albums the new one is a taste of the original Smashing Pumpkins, which I love!!!!!

Cannibal Corpse – Torture

Always extreme! Saw them live again this year, always an experience 🙂

The Mars Volta – Noctourniquet

Love the ambient sound. So much intensity to them.

Soundgarden – King Animal

Big fan of Chris Cornell. This album seems heavier. I grew up listening to them so I was excited about this.

Slash ft. Myles Kennedy – Apocalyptic Love

It’s Slash and Myles Kennedy, how could you not love it?! Slash was my favorite member of Guns N Roses and Myles’ voice is amazing.

Whitechapel – Whitechapel

They are my hometown boys! Of course they will be on my list. Have you ever listened to them while working out?  You should!

10 Years – Minus the Machine

Another one from my hometown. Everyone in that band is so unbelievably talented. Jesse’s voice makes all the girls want him.

In This Moment – Blood

Love this album!! Hot chick in a metal band? I’m in!!

The Avett Brothers – The Carpenter

Random I know, but I like chill music too.

Deftones – Koi No Yokan

Similar to White Pony, always amazing. Never get tired of hearing new music from this band

Best of 2012:

I See Stars – Digital Renegade

I see stars is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. They are very kitchy but I do enjoy what they do. This album is fun, upbeat, dancy with some hard stuff too. It has a nice mix of clean vocals and screaming. I’ve seen them live a couple times and their shows are full of energy and fun to watch.

The Used – Vulnerable

The Used will always have a soft spot in my heart. I’ve been listening to them as far back as high school. I wasn’t disappointed by their new (fifth) album. It has a lot of catchy songs that stick in your head.

Circa Survive – Violent Waves

This is my favorite album from Circa Survive. They are definitely on their game. Vocals and guitar riffs are amazing, everything came together to make an awesome album.

Metric – Synthetica

In my eyes metric can do no wrong. Synthetica is powerful, emotional and moving. This album gave me the same body covering goosebumps as any other. Lyrically and musically metric just does it for me.

In Fear and Faith – In Fear and Faith

This albums blows their last one out of the water. It is way more than I would have expected from them. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been an IFAF fan but this album is their best bar none. The piano, the vocals, the lyrics, the riffs. A++

Every Time I Die – Ex Lives

This is the album that really got me into Every Time I Die. It’s not that I didn’t like their old albums but this one is the one that really caught my eye, or ear? I’m excited to see what this veteran band does next.

Most Anticipated:

Tegan and Sara – Heartthrob

Tegan and Sara have without a doubt been one of my favorite groups for years. They have a permanent spot on my iPod and I love the release “Closer” so I can not wait to see what they’ve come up with for this album.

Asking Alexandria

I’m anxiously awaiting Asking Alexandria’s new album. I’ve loved everything they’ve put out so far so I’m sure I wont be disappointed.
