Stars Launch “Hold On When You Get Love” Music Video; Announce U.S. Fall Tour

By on June 27, 2013

Stars have launched the music video for their latest single “Hold On When You Get Love And Let Go When You Give It,” directed by George Vale and Torquil Campbell. The band will kick off their fall tour at Riot Fest in Chicago, along with shows across the U.S. and an intimate stop at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. The fall dates follow a busy first half of 2013 which had Stars touring around the globe – from Australia and Asia to the main stage at Coachella.

Stars are Canada’s best-kept secret indie institution. Over the course of more than a decade together, the band has consistently proven themselves adept at producing incisively sharp, beautifully orchestrated pop music. Their sixth album, ‘The North’ (ATO Records), is their finest record to date – a culmination of all they have learned and lost; a record of what it is to love today, of how to live a life in music. The North marked the band’s highest Billboard chart debut in career.

Praise for ‘The North’
“‘The North’ rewards exploration with moments that alternately swoon, seethe, swing and paralyze.”- NPR

What’s remarkable about The North is how unforced it sounds while conjuring the ghosts of past glories.“- Pitchfork

The band has grown. The music has evolved. But the message of feeling alive despite all odds is more apparent than ever.”- Paste

A masterpiece.” – Seattle Times
