STARS’ THE NORTH OUT TODAY, HEAR FULL ALBUM ON SOUNDCLOUD

U.S. TOUR KICKS OFF SEPTEMBER 20

September 4, marks the release of The North (ATO Records), Stars’ sixth full-length studio album. Recorded in Montreal’s historic RCA Victor Studio and produced by Stars, Graham Lessard and Marcus Paquin (Arcade Fire), The North is the band’s finest record to date – a culmination of all they have learned and lost; a record of what it is to love today, of how to live a life in music.
Every one of the twelve originals on The North features significant input from all the band members. “This is the five of us attacking each song and turning it into something that is all of ours,” says Amy Millan, who shares lead vocals with Torquil Campbell. This cooperative approach to creativity accounts for The North being the most fully-realized Stars album to date.
