Sugar & The Hi-Lows “Sweet Stuff” (-Billboard) is out today

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Nashville’s Sugar & The Hi-Lows release their self-titled full length debut TODAY, Valentine’s Day, on Ready Set Records with distribution through Tone Tree Music.

Dubbed “first sweet musical treat of 2012” by the Huffington Post, the site is premiering their first video for the single “See It For Yourself”. View video here.

Additionally, they are featured in Billboard Magazine as “The Sweet Stuff: Two Nashville singer/songwriters tap into retro soul as Sugar & The Hi-Lows” in the February 18th issue.

Last night, Sugar & The Hi-Lows previewed the album at the Billy Reid Store in Nashville. Following, they continue to open for Marc Broussard, and headline performances in Atlanta (2/24), Birmingham (2/25) and Nashville (2/26) before showcasing in March at the 2012 SXSW Music Conference in Austin (3/13-3/17).

In November, Sugar & The Hi-Lows – the duo of Nashville singer-songwriters Trent Dabbs and Amy Stroup – debuted their “their rockabilly ‘n’ retro soul revue” (-Huffington Post) with the single “See It For Yourself”. The song has been featured in USA Today‘s “Playlist”, Buzzbands LAs free download of the day, download of the day on and Marie Claire‘s March 2012 “What To Download” playlist. It has also received airplay on Triple A and Americana stations such as KGSR-Austin, KRSH-Santa Rosa, WXPN-Philadelphia, WTTS-Indianapolis, and WQKL-Ann Arbor. The album was Most Added at Americana Radio last week.
