The Computers Release Video for “Mr Saturday Night”

By on June 7, 2013

A little known fact is that Exeter, an historic town nestled into the southwest boot

of Great Britain, has had a thriving punk rock scene since the genre’s inception

around the late ‘70s. It was bands like the Scabs and Avant Gardeners who may

have led the way for The Computers, who crashed onto the UK scene around 2008

with their debut mini-LP You Can’t Hide From The Computers,  a 7-song hardcore

bum rush featuring songs like “Teenage Tourettes Camp” and “Love The Music,

Hate The Kids.”

Here we are just a few short years later, and while the band’s sound has become

more refined, drawing in garage, soul and even pop influences, the Love/Hate

theme still pervades. And so it is with The Computers’ second long player, Love

Triangles, Hate Squares that was released on One Little Indian earlier this year.

Check out the video for their latest single, “Mr. Saturday Night” on Vevo.

Fresh off a successful UK tour, The Computers will also be performing at

Reading and Leeds Festival this year. Their previous video for the title

track has been viewed over 71,000 times and recommended by

Alternative Press.
