THE GRAM PARSONS FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF BOARD PRESIDENT, ANNETTE BEAVERS.
Polly Parsons and The Gram Parsons Foundation are pleased to share some exciting developments for the fledgling nonprofit. After a successful launch event in March 2012 during SxSW, the focus of the organization has been to secure a strong and sturdy foundation in order to focus on their program goals. This includes the announcement of Annette Beavers, as newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as the formal introduction of the organization leaders.
Annette Beavers has a strong background in the non-profit industry both as a fundraiser and from a corporate viewpoint. In her current role as Director of Freebirds World Works for the national restaurant concept, Freebirds World Burrito, she works with over 125 non-profits in Texas, Oklahoma, and California. Polly Parsons, President of Gram Parsons Foundation, said: “Annette has been a blessing from the moment she accepted the invitation to be a part of GPF. Her vision is clear and her passion great for supporting our mission and helping GPF grow.”
“The Gram Parsons Foundation has the potential to change lives and that is what drives me and fellow leaders of the organization,” said Annette Beavers. “The beauty of this first year is the creative process of designing outreach programs for our youth and defining the full scope of our programs and services. I have complete confidence in the infrastructure of the organization with both, Polly Parsons and Executive Director, Erika Schultz. I am also thrilled to work with the talents of our Board of Directors and Music Advisory Board.”
The newest appointment to the Board of Directors is Gene Ross, Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Santé Center for Healing. He joins Universal Music Group Nashville President, Luke Lewis; Bunkhouse Management’s Liz Lambert; and Matchbox Marketing & Events’ Harper Quill.
