The Hudson Branch to release ‘Yesterday’ on Jan 29

By on January 26, 2013

The Hudson Branch have begun a year long project.  Their new record is called YESTERDAY and it is the first installment in a three-album project called YESTERDAY, TODAY and TOMORROW. In YESTERDAY, you’ll hear the influence of past pop icons like Bill Withers and The Jackson Five. On TODAY they will venture into the contemporary world of dance, hip-hop, and electronica.  For the last album in the project, TOMORROW, they will showcase what they have gleaned from working with public radio programs such as Radiolab, 99% Invisible, and Third Coast International Audio Festival and create songs by experimenting with found audio, mash-up, and sound manipulation.

The first in the series, YESTERDAY, was recorded and produced by The Hudson Branch and mixed by Neil Strauch (Andrew Bird, Iron and Wine). It will be officially released online, 29 January 2013

In addition, The Hudson Branch has included a 3D design element to the artwork.  When looked at through 3D glasses the cover art becomes a new way to experience the record

The Hudson Branch includes two sets of brothers (the Bolls and the Bienerts) and a good friend (Enoch) who have been playing music together in one form or another since we were old enough to bang a drum.
