THE HUDSON BRANCH “YESTERDAY” DUE JANUARY 29, 2013 FEATURING SINGLE “KEEP RUNNING”

By on January 2, 2013

The Hudson Branch start the year with their new record “Yesterday”. The album was recorded and produced by The Hudson Branch at their home studio, and mixed by Neil Strauch (Andrew Bird, Iron and Wine).  “Yesterday” began as an attempt to look back at music from another time and eventually found its place in a mixture of soul, pop, and experimental sounds.

The first single “Keep Running” found its feet with inspiration from late 60’s pop and soul music. It embodies a time when music seemed to effortlessly make you move and yet still was masterful in its songwriting and arrangement. The song’s continual break downs culminate in an ending that is big and intricate, while at the same time ambitiously pop.

The Hudson Branch are coming off of a very busy year in 2012 which included the release of their second full length album World Kid, working with Third Coast International Audio Festival on experimental live storytelling and opening for renowned musical pioneers New Order. They look ahead to an even more productive year in 2013 beginning with this first song “Keep Running”.
