Dine Alone Records is proud to announce that The Lumineers’ debut self-titled album certified PLATINUM this week in Canada. This is the first International Platinum-certified artist for Dine Alone Records, as well as the first International Platinum record for the Denver-based band who will be the musical guests on Saturday Night Live tomorrow, hosted by actress Jennifer Lawrence.
The Lumineers’ success in less than a year since releasing their debut LP is remarkable. Their Grammy-nominated debut (up for Best New Artist and Best Americana Album) continues to gain momentum on the charts, cracking the US Billboard Top 10 earlier this month. “Ho Hey” is #1 on Billboard’s Rock Chart and #4 on the Hot 100. The trio is also notably the first independent label artist in the US to have a debut single reach #1 at three separate formats; Triple A, Alternative and Hot AC.
In Canada alone, the band has also amassed a laundry list of achievements, including #5 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, #5 at Hot AC, #6 at CHR and #4 across all radio-reporting formats and climbing. The single “Ho Hey” is now double-platinum in Canada and the US, quickly inching towards triple-platinum.
The band just released their second single “Stubborn Love”, which is already following in the footsteps of its predecessor. “Stubborn Love” is currently sitting at #1 at AAA Radio, and is Top 20 at Alternative radio in the U.S. They are currently preparing to hit the road in the US for some dates on the east coast, all of which sold out almost instantly. Canadian tour dates will be announced later this year.
