The Retrospective Soundtrack Players – Brand new album ‘The Catcher In The Rye’

They create new soundtracks to their favourite cult films and books, and on 15th October 2012 they will release their new album, ‘The Catcher in the Rye’ through Xtra Mile Recordings (Frank Turner, Future of the Left, Against Me!), preceded by the title track as a single on 1stOctober 2012.
Based entirely around J.D Salinger’s classic tale of youth angst, the album showcases a high energy punk rock sound reminiscent of Weezer, The Gaslight Anthem and The Weakerthans.

The band formed in late 2010 and released a split 7” with Frank Turner which saw their songs featured on BBC Radio 1 & 2, 6 Music and XFM before they had played a gig. Since then they have toured the UK alongside The Walkmen, King Charles, Chris T-T and many others.
The band will tour to support the new album through Winter 2012 and into 2013. Dates confirmed are:
