The video for “High/Low” was co-directed by Jack Schmier and The Swellers’ drummer Jonathan Diener, and is a touching portrayal of the not so sunny side of white picket fence suburbia.

“This song isn’t a single, but it just felt too important to not have some visual accompaniment,” says Diener.  “I had the idea since Nick wrote the song and our friend Jack Schmier helped me make it a reality.  The kid in the video is the same character from some of our previous album artwork and showcases the darker side of the “suburban paradise.” Sometimes we all need an escape.”

“High/Low” is featured on The Light Under Closed Doors, which was produced by The Swellers, recorded by Marc Hudson (Saves the Day, Taking Back Sunday) at Rancho Recordo in Fenton, MI and with Mark Michalik (Into It. Over It., Fireworks) in Chicago, IL.., and includes ten punk rock anthems like “Should” and “Becoming Self-Aware.”

The Swellers also recently announced “The Light Under Closed Doors Tour,” which kicks off in October in support of the upcoming record.  The band will be mingling with fans this fall at various clubs, house parties, pizza parlors, skate rinks and other assorted venues across the U.S. for a rare chance to catch the band in an intimate setting.
