The Wild Feathers have announced that they will perform at the NCAA March Madness Music Festival, which takes place April 4th through the 6th at Reunion Park in Dallas. The Nashville quintet, who appear on the free outdoor festival’s first day, will join an all-star line-up that also includes Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, The Killers, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, fun., and more artists to be announced. The Wild Feathers have also been confirmed to appear at this summer’s Stagecoach (April 25-27, Indio, CA.) and Bonnarroo (June 12-15, in Manchester, TN.) Festivals. Actual day, stage and set time will be announced shortly.
Following a week of triumphant shows at SXSW 2014, The Wild Feathers departed for their first tour of Europe. The bandhas been on the road since January touring in support of their self-titled debut album. They have played well over 200 shows, with Gary Clark Jr., Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Dawes, Dwight Yoakam, and ZZ Ward, and stopped at the Austin City Limits festival, San Francisco’s Outside Lands, Sasquatch and Hangout Festivals, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Louisville’s Forecastle Festival, and Nashville’s Live on the Green. The Wild Feathers performed their acclaimed single “The Ceiling,” which the Minneapolis Star Tribune called “perhaps the most elegantly crafted song of the year” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and the track won the Sirius Spectrum Award for Best Song Discovery.
The new single, “Got it Wrong” -recently performed on ABC TV’s Nashville — is currently in the charts at radio and the band will return home at the end of March for more live shows here in the U.S. Click here to view the official video. Meanwhile, the press continues to rave about The Wild Feathers:
“The Wild Feathers have stomped their way through venues all over the country and have plenty of experience to back up their forceful stage presence…and as a result the energy is touch to match.” PasteMagazine.Com
“If Led Zeppelin & The band had a baby in Joshua Tree that grew up listening to Ryan Adams covering The Stones 70’s songs”. – Balcony.TV
“Classic rock D.J.’s have been itching for this band for years. The Wild Feathers channel their Nashville roots with unmistakable Southern rock, suggesting a sprightly union of the Allman Brother’s most frantic jams with the more languid, beatific moments of My Morning Jacket and Neil Young.” – The New York Times
“This isn’t coffee house music…the band blends rock, pop, country, soul and songwriting influences into an appealing presentation.” – CMTEdge.Com
