Chances are you’ve heard a song by Singer/Songwriter/Producer Trent Dabbs and just didn’t know it. Adding to his impressive music resume, is Dabb’s hit song “Don’t Put Dirt On My Grave” (co-written with Caitlyn Smith) which has been featured throughout Season 2 on the popular ABC show “Nashville.” Since its release a few weeks ago, the song has trail blazed on the charts, with the record – Nashville: On The Record – peaking at No. 1 on the Overall iTunes® Albums Chart. Dabbs also entered the Overall iTunes® Albums Chart recently at No. 2 with Ingrid Michaelson‘s newest record, Lights Out. Dabbs co-wrote six songs off the album including the infectious chart climbing single, “Girls Chase Boys.“
Beginning Wednesday, May 7, Sugar + The Hi-Lows (Dabbs and Amy Stroup) will hit the road with Ingrid Michaelson on the “Lights Out Tour.” The tour kicks off at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles and will make stops in major cities including Dallas, Atlanta and Ryman Auditorium in Nashville with sold out shows in Washington DC, New York and Boston. Nashville’s Hayden Panettiere (Juliette Barnes) performed the song on the special as well. Check out clips from “Nashville: On The Record” here. “Don’t Put Dirt on My Grave” will appear in this week’s brand new episode (Ep. 221) of “Nashville” (airs 5/7).
