Troy Horne: Monsters Inside My Head – Track Reviews

By on February 4, 2013

Colorado’s own R&B machine Troy Horne is making some impressive headway with a growing social media following and a notably successful Kickstarter Campaign. With nearly $5,000 already pledged, the Kickstarter is a campaign to release his new album entitled Monsters Inside My Head. Three tracks from the forthcoming album are currently available for your listening pleasure. “Godlight” is a very unique track that has a very catchy retro feel and is packed full of soul; Horne’s vocals are very easy on the ears: soothing in a way like Ne-Yo but laced with a bit more class. “What If We” slows it down for a more emotional tone – making elegant use of acoustic guitar for this R&B singalong style ballad. “Champion” begins with some heart touching piano and a delicate display of raw emotional vocals; the track maintains a very somber feel throughout its entirety. So far, Horne’s work has a very uplifting feel to it and this guy does have some real talent. Checkout his Kickstarter and make a pledge, also; give “Godlight” a listen below.
