By on March 20, 2013

Vanna has premiered a new video for the song “Year of the Rat” on Alternative Press- WATCH HERE. The song is from the band’s new album out this week, The Few and the Far Between (Artery Recordings/Razor & Tie) – on iTunes HERE ( The video for “Year of the Rat” was directed by the band themselves.

Vanna lead vocalist Davey Muise comments about the video, “To co-inside with the album artwork, we wanted to show the mash up of our lives touring and a day in the life of a fan coming to a show, kind of showing that long road to that one kid. Keeping with the touring feel, we thought it was cool to film it all ourselves and on tour, felt very organic. Just another outlet to be creative.”

The Few and the Far Between  is the band’s second full length album for Artery Recordings /Razor & Tie and was produced by Jay Maas and recorded at Getaway Recordings in Boston (Haverhill) Massachusetts. Maas also produced Vanna’s first Artery Recordings release, the 2010 EP The Honest Hearts.

Vanna recently completed a U.S. tour with Every Time I Die and The Acacia Strain.  Vanna is heading to Australia in May to tour with label mates Norma Jean (tour dates below).

Vanna released And They Came Baring Bones (Artery Recordings /Razor & Tie) in the summer of 2011 to critical and commercial success.  And They Came Baring Bones debuted at #8 on the Billboard New Artist Chart and #22 on the Billboard Hard Music Chart.
