By on December 17, 2013

Boston’s own, VANNA,  have been busy all year long touring and constantly writing new material. This new material showcases the bands’ evolvement into what they are today; energetic, emotionally driven and supercharged. The band recently took a few days to record with Kevin Billingslea at Lions Maine Studios and give us two brand new songs for their self released 7″ entitled Preying/PurgingPreying/Purging is available for order online and are being released as a limited run of 500 with 400 on black and 100 on orange with black splatter. 50 of the orange has been reserved for online orders. The band will have them on hand for thier run of shows from December 19th – December 22nd.

In addition, you can hear both songs from the 7″, Preying and Purging which are streaming live now:

Lead singer, Davey Muise, provided some insight about the release…

“We are constantly writing and jamming new ideas while at home and on the road. We had a collection of riffs and lyrics that we really wanted to put toward something, and the idea of self-releasing a 7″ was born. We figured it was a cool way to put these songs out into the world and give them their own spotlight. Preying/Purging is a chance for us to try some cool directions out while progressing in the Vanna sound as well as give people some more songs to jam and hopefully enjoy.

Both these songs are personal and mean a lot to the band. Our hope is that you feel us on every level with these. If you don’t have a record player, go out and grab one at a second hand store or music shop!”
