War Master

The Scarface of death metal, War Master began  its Blood Dawn III tour on Friday with copious amounts of beer, flashing boobs, a mountain of cocaine and more swashbuckling fun. The band started with a ravenous home crowd in Houston at Fitzgerald’s.  Here they surprised the mass of pounding fists and banging heads with a free shirt that came off the back of a buxom babe.  The following nights revealed War Master in fine form again in San Antonio at the Korova club and in Austin at the Lost Well.  Band general, R.G. War-Minister unsheathed his saber to warn those in attendance he would sever the head that does not bang.  The band also performed a seven-minute new track that guitar J.T. Smith described as having “Conan chugging chords.”

Tonight, the group finishes off its run of Texas dates with a showdown at Lola’s Saloon in Forth Worth.  Next the band tackles The Conservatory in Oklahoma City and will soon join up with old friends, Unholy Grave for a few dates.  Keep a look out for their split 7″ with Unholy Grave at those shows including Maryland Death Fest.  The band is excited to offer their fans this limited release (500 copies) featuring more splendid art work from ex-vocalist Daniel Shaw.   Visit their merch booth for CDs, LPs, tapes, t-shirts and die cut embroidered patches.  Get there early as the band is quickly selling out of all t-shirts.

Not a fan of physical copies, visit the band’s Web site to purchase digital files of “Blood Dawn.”
