“‘Manners’ is a post breakup song,” says female lead Tay Jardine. “However, we played mine and Jordan’s vocal parts a bit differently than we usually do. The male vocal (Jordan) plays a strong supporting role with lines in the chorus, ‘I earned my wings teaching guys like you, to keep your mouth shut.” The bridge of the song is also one of my favorite parts – being able to leave a relationship in your past is always progress in moving forward, but leaving it in a song feels so good.”

Weird Kids,” produced by John Feldmann (The Used, Yellowcard, All Time Low, Panic! At The Disco), is WATIC’s follow-up release to their successful debut album, “Best Intentions,”which launched the band into worldwideexposure – debuting at 122 on the Billboard Top 200 and landing the band on the covers of Alternative Press and Kerrang! Magazine. The band garnered over 3 million YouTube views for their “Never Be What You Want (Acoustic)” music video, received a prestigious Kerrang! Awards nomination for Best International Newcomer in 2011, and rocked major festivals like Reading and Leeds and international tours with bands including All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Yellowcard, Never Shout Never and many more. While some bands might be content to rest on the laurels of newfound success, WATIC had no such interest, heading into the studio with more ambition than ever.

In the studio, Feldmann acted as a catalyst, pushing the band to step out of their comfort zone and helping them reach their full creative potential as a band. In addition to the snarky, wit that is characteristic of WATIC, Weird Kids put forth their most diverse material to date – and exposes an intimate, more personal side of Jardine that allows listeners into her world in a way they haven’t been before.

The Poughkeepsie, NY quintet – consisting of lead vocalist Tay Jardine, vocalist/guitarist Jordan Eckes, guitarist Cameron Hurley, bassist Mike Ferri and drummer Rob Chianelli – is back after four whirlwind years together with a determination and drive that has turned first-time listeners into diehard fans, with the aid of Jardine’s infectious attitude and spunky, quick-witted personality. She’s got the type of stage presence that drives guys crazy (in a good way) while making girls want to emulate her.

“Manners” is the fifth song to be released off We Are The In Crowd’s upcoming album, following “Attention,” “The Best Thing (That Never Happened),” “Long Live The Kids,” and “Windows In Heaven,” with each new song bringing the anticipation for the full album higher, tastemakers including FUSE have named “Weird Kids” one of their “Most Anticipated Albums” of 2014 and MTV Buzzworthy has coined Jardine as one of the “15 Fresh Females Who Will Rule Pop in 2014.”  Check out the action-packed music video for “The Best Thing (That Never Happened)” directed by Mark Staubach (Lupe Fiasco, Travie McCoy, Cody Simpson) here: http://youtu.be/BFqtasnu7y8.

We Are The In Crowd are currently overseas touring the UK with Neck Deep and Save Your Breath. They head back to the US this February for their “Reunion Tour 2014” with William Beckett, Set It off, State Champs and Candy Hearts. Download a tour sampler here.
