We Were Promised Jetpacks will return in 2014 with E Rey – Live in Philadelphia, an album that was recorded at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer. The live album will be released on February 25 via FatCat and follows up We Were Promised Jetpacks sophomore album In The Pit Of The Stomach. The 13 track album features fan favorites and will include a brand new track, “Peace Sign,” an early live-version taster of their upcoming studio album, which will be released in the fall. Alongside the album, the band will also release a full-length concert film capturing the final performance from their Spring 2012 tour. The film combines five-camera, high quality live footage of their Philadelphia show with Super 8 footage of the band shot by their friend Matt along the tour. SPIN premiered the album trailer for E Rey Live In Philadelphia and it’s also available to share on YouTube.

We Were Promised Jetpacks have also announced North American winter tour. The upcoming tour will make stops in major cities including New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Washington D.C. and will include performances at Austin’s SXSW Music Festival. Additional dates will be announced in the coming weeks
