By on October 25, 2012

Paper + Plastick Records is pleased to announce today the October 30th release of a brand-new four-song EP from grungy punk-rockers Young Skin. The Sticky Pages EP is streaming in its entirety right now via Punknews.org and the record is available for preorder from Paper + Plastick’s webstore. All orders receive an immediate digital download and the 7″ vinyl will begin shipping on Monday, October 29.

The Sticky Pages EPis four songs of garage-style grungy punk rock, made by four fictitious people named Beau Disregard, Artful Dodger, Black Donald, and Liz Unphair. While these might not be these musicians’ real names, the musicians themselves are extremely real, and you know them better than you think. The members of Young Skin are currently in or used to be in bands like The Ergs!, Lemuria, Hunchback, Failures’ Union, Black Wine, Full of Fancy, For Science, and more.

More about Young Skin:
Young Skin is comprised of these four fake people: Beau Disregard, Artful Dodger, Black Donald, and Liz Unphair. Artful asked Liz to do a side project in the vein of Bikini Kill and she replied, “Only if the name of the band is awful and upsetting,” and Young Skin was born. They have been described thusly: “sounds like barf.” “100%, unlistenable” “grungy garbage” and “butt rock.”

This 7” has four songs, each written by a different band member. The songs were learned on Thursday 12/1/10, performed live on Friday 12/2/10, and put to tape on Saturday 12/3/12 in about 4 hours by Eric Bennett at Hunt Studios.

Their names may be a falsity, but this list of “ex and current members of” is very real: The Ergs!, Lemuria, Hunchback, Failures’ Union, Black Wine, Full of Fancy, For Science, and more.
