By on June 17, 2013

Malaysian-born songstress YUNA has teamed up with VEVO to premiere her highly anticipated music video for “I Wanna Go.”  “The ‘I Wanna Go’ video was so much fun to shoot,” exclaims YUNA.  “My friends, Julian Schratter, Didi Ramlan and I brainstormed the idea for the video, shot it on the Super8 and the outcome was beautiful!  I hope the fans will enjoy the colours, the city, the sun and the sea just as much as I did!”

The music video for “I Wanna Go” can be seen here:

“I Wanna Go” was produced by INCUBUS guitarist Mike Einziger, and is featured on YUNA’s most recent release, ‘Sixth Street.’ The five-song digital EP was YUNA’s debut with record label Verve Records, and was released last month.  The EP is currently available for purchase on iTunes, and “Let Love Come Through,” another track featured on ‘Sixth Street,’ can be heard here.

Rolling Stone has championed YUNA as having, “certified indie cred and massive pop potential,” and Complex described her as, “a deeply refreshing addition to America’s musical landscape.”  She’s performed on national television, was a finalist for MTV Iggy’s “Best New Band In The World,” has played both Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, and has had multiple songs featured in movies and on soundtracks.  Most recently, she appeared on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” where she performed her duet with multi-platinum recording artist OWL CITY, “Shine Your Way,” the theme song in Dream Works Animation’s 3D comedy, THE CROODS.
